this vid is floating around and keeps popping up on my facebook. funny thing is that this way of thinking, trying to separate religion from god or his boy jesus, was my first steps to leaving the delusion. we fight the hardest for the delusions we subconsciously stop believing.

I see this thinking, liberal christianity, as the first steps to discovery. Kind of like dipping your toe in the ocean before jumping in. It is really safe and easy to start putting the blame on man and his creations to take the responsibility from god. I lived in that mindset for a long time, not ready to answer the questions that had bugged me for so long. I blamed church, even stayed out of churches for a long time, thinking they were what was wrong with christianity. If only we had house churches and real christians and not people just showing up on sunday. If only people actually believed in a jesus that fits with the times and is a humanitarian and we forget all the bad stuff god did or the things that just make no sense. I could forget about deriving morality from a sadistic dictator not afraid to kill his creations by saying it must be mans fault things are so messed up. Once I was able to allow myself to question these things my disbelief became apparent and I could no longer just focus on just the hippie jesus message. So be careful liberal christians, taking this route may reveal things you already know but are scared to confirm. Just know that if you do step out of christianity and take that risk there is a world of people willing to listen and help you with it. Plus science.
